Why operators stay

Wholesale routing is a trust business. Here is how we earn it.

Anyone can quote a rate. What separates a supplier you keep from one you test and drop is whether the numbers hold at 2am on the last Thursday of the month.

Test it yourself

Who runs these interconnects

  1. Direct interconnects, declared honestly

    We tell you which routes are direct operator and which are transit, per destination, before you send a message. No route is sold as something it is not.

  2. Delivery data you can audit

    Real-time DLR, ASR and PDD in your portal, exportable as CDRs. If a number stops matching what we promised, you will see it before we do.

  3. Compliance-first traffic policy

    Sender ID registration, DLT handling and local content rules are part of onboarding, not an afterthought. We refuse traffic that puts your interconnects at risk.

  4. Automatic failover between carriers

    Each destination carries a primary and at least one standby route. Degradation triggers a reroute in seconds, not at the end of a support ticket.

  5. A NOC that answers, at 3am

    One escalation path, staffed around the clock, with an engineer who already knows your account and your traffic pattern.

  6. Wholesale pricing without a lock-in

    Volume-tiered rates, prepaid or postpaid, no minimum term. If a rate stops being competitive, tell us; we would rather re-price than lose the traffic.

Route coverage

Know exactly what is live before you integrate

Coverage is published per destination and per product, with the routing type stated. Search for the market you care about, if it is not listed, ask, because capacity changes weekly.

Open the coverage explorer
Per-product status

SMS, Voice OTP, TTS and termination tracked separately, because a country being open for one says nothing about the others.

Sender ID rules

DLT, pre-registration and alphanumeric support noted per destination, so nothing surprises you at go-live.

Connect

Bind however your platform already works

One account, one balance, one set of credentials. Choose the protocol that suits your stack and change it later without renegotiating anything.

All connection methods

An SMPP v3.4 bind is the standard way to move A2P SMS at volume. Transmitter, receiver or transceiver, with real end-to-end delivery receipts.

Bind types
Transmitter, receiver, transceiver
Encoding
GSM 03.38, UCS-2, concatenated / long SMS
Delivery receipts
End-to-end DLR on the same session
Authentication
System ID, password and IP allow-list
Full SMPP v3.4 bind reference

A straightforward HTTP REST API in JSON, for teams that would rather not run a persistent SMPP session. Same routes, same balance, same receipts.

Transport
HTTPS, TLS 1.2 or above
Format
JSON request and response
Authentication
API key, optionally pinned to an IP allow-list
Callbacks
Delivery receipts pushed to your webhook, or polled
Full HTTP REST API reference
Example request
POST /v1/messages HTTP/1.1
Host: api.sisbird.com
Authorization: Bearer YOUR_API_KEY
Content-Type: application/json

{
  "to": "+8801XXXXXXXXX",
  "from": "SISBIRD",
  "text": "Your verification code is 472915",
  "type": "otp",
  "callback_url": "https://your-platform.example/dlr"
}

A SIP interconnect for voice termination, Voice OTP and TTS, with an engineer on the call for interop.

Signalling
SIP over UDP or TCP
Media
RTP, G.711 A-law / µ-law and G.729
Authentication
Static IP or digest
DTMF
RFC 2833
Full SIP interconnect reference

IP authentication instead of credentials: authenticate by source address, for platforms with fixed egress IPs.

Applies to
SMPP, HTTP API and SIP
Configuration
Allow-list of your egress addresses
Changes
Handled by the NOC, usually same day
Combined with
Credentials, for defence in depth

Onboarding

From first message to live traffic in four steps

Start step one
  1. Tell us the traffic

    Destinations, monthly volume, message or call type, and what you are paying today. Fifteen minutes on a call is usually enough.

  2. Get a costed route plan

    We come back with the route type per destination, the rate, and the delivery numbers we expect, in writing, before any commitment.

  3. Test on real capacity

    A funded test account on the same routes production will use. Test credits are on us. You verify the numbers yourself.

  4. Scale with a named engineer

    Go live, ramp volume, and keep the same technical contact who ran your test. Reviews monthly, escalation 24/7.

Before you ask

The questions buyers actually open with

Something not answered here?

A routing engineer replies, usually the same business day.

Ask us directly
Who does SisBird sell to?

Licensed telecom operators, CPaaS platforms, SMS aggregators, VoIP resellers and enterprises with their own messaging or voice platform. We supply wholesale routing, not a retail sending tool, so there is always an integration involved.

How quickly can I start testing?

A test account is usually issued within one business day of the route plan being agreed. Destinations that require sender ID or template registration take as long as the local regulator does, and we will tell you the realistic timeline before you plan a launch around it.

Do you charge for test traffic?

No. Test credits are on us, on the same routes production will use. Testing on a route you will not actually be given is not a test.

Is there a minimum commitment?

No minimum term and no setup fee. Rates are volume-tiered, so higher sustained volume earns a better rate, but nothing obliges you to reach it.

Do you sell grey routes?

No. Grey routes are cheaper right up until the operator closes them, your sender ID is blacklisted and your traffic stops without warning. Every route we sell is one we are prepared to name and label.

What happens when a route degrades?

Each destination carries a primary interconnect and at least one qualified standby. Degradation triggers an automatic reroute while the NOC investigates, and you are told what happened rather than left to infer it from your own dashboards.

Can I use several products on one account?

Yes. A2P SMS, Voice OTP, TTS and voice termination share one account, one balance and one set of reports. Adding a product does not change your existing integration.

What traffic will you refuse?

Unsolicited bulk messaging, traffic that misrepresents its sender, anything targeting numbers without a lawful basis, and anything that would put our interconnects or your own sender reputation at risk. We would rather turn traffic away than lose a route.
